Mobile money operator gunned down in Entebbe

KAMPALA- The Police in Entebbe are investigating instances under which a 30 year old mobile money operator.

The deceased according to Luke Owoyesigyire the Kampala Metropolitan area deputy Police spokesman is Nambi Bogiya who has been operating mobile money at Nalugala.

Owoyesigyire adds that the incident happened on Wednesday February 24^th 2021 at around 9PM a few metres from her rented house in Nalugala, Katabi town council.

The police were informed about what happened and responded to the scene with a team of detectives, K9 and Flying Squad operatives. 

It is alleged that the victim was trailed by a group of unknown assailants from her work place in Nalugala before she was shot dead and an unspecified amount of money taken from her. 

“Three cartridge casings have been recovered from the scene and they will be examined to establish the firearm used” Owoyesigyire told the press. 

The body of the deceased has been conveyed to City mortuary for a postmortem as investigations into the murder by shooting are on.
