KISORO– Following the death of Rtd Capt Bagabe Clever, Police has finally released a statement indicating that the deceased committed suicide.
According to Elly Maate the Kigezi region Police Spokesperson, the Suicide report was made by Col Kayita Deo the Commander Operation Wealth Creation Kisoro district saying that Rtd Capt Bagabe Clever the Operation Wealth Creation commander Bufumbira South constituency and Kisoro municipality and resident of Bigiva Village in Kisoro municipality was found dead when he had hanged himself on a rope at his place of residence.
The report was received on the 17th August 2022 at about 7pm which prompted the police to visit the Scene and examine the body before being taken to Kisoro hospital mortuary for postmortem.
Maate added that It’s alleged that on the 17th August 2022, the reporter called the deceased on his phone several times and was not picking, which prompted him to physically check on the deceased and only to find him dead hinging for yet unknown reason.
The incident has since been registered under reference number SD 37/17/08/2022 to allow further investigations into the matter.
