SPORT– The second edition of kids connect golf tournament has been confirmed to take place on 16th December 2022 at the Toro club in Fort Portal City.
The AFRIYEA Kids connect is an enormous event that aims at bringing the young players together to enjoy the game of golf, network and establish life-long friendship, connections and sharing of unlimited variety of cultures and experiences.
According to AFRIYEA golf academy boss Isaiah Mwesige, the second edition of the kids connect tournament will be held at the 9 hole golf course of Toro club in the tourism city of Fort Portal- Uganda.
Mwesige stressed to the press that the tournament will be targeting the juniors from all corners of Uganda and beyond and for the record, the tournament will also be setting an environment to have more female participation than it did in the first edition.

It’s well documented world over that female participation in all sports remains a big concern however the opportunities of encouraging the girls to participate and mix them in the same tournament with boys is one of the strategies of getting more female to play the game of golf.
The Academy CEO Mwesige duly confirmed the development and intention of the tournament adding that this year’s tournament is going to be better on all fronts because of the many activities they intend to introduce that never featured in the last tournament.
