NEWS- Katakwi district senior Doctor on Thursday 23rd March 2023 succumbed to a motorcycle accident.
According to Police, Doctor Charles Collins Morulem collided with a speeding motorcycle as he rode from Usuk to Katakwi district.
When the saddened news of Morulem’s death reached Katakwi, sorrow overwhelmed the hospital and paralyzed activities as his colleagues struggled to absorb the news.
Katakwi General Hospital superintendent, Dr. Simon Peter Odeng confirmed the death to this website saying, the late medic’s body was picked from the accident scene as the incident occurred at around 6pm.
Odeng said Morelum broke his neck and died instantly while the two other people who collided with him sustained serious injuries and are currently receiving treatment.
Morulem, a young vibrant surgeon who used to save lives of many people in Katakwi and beyond was declared dead shortly after arriving at Katakwi main hospital.
The home official revealed to this website that the body of the deceased is currently at Bethesda Hospital in Soroti City and thereafter it will be taken to Katakwi district headquarters for public viewing.
At midday on the same date, it will leave for Amuria District. The burial is set for Wednesday 29th March 2023.

He is aged 31, since he was born on 6th April 1991, A son to James Ole a former CCT at Usuk girls primary school and Lucy Ikotit a peasant, all residents of Morubale village, Ajaki parish, Apeduru sub county in Amuria District.
Morulem, a vocal public figure, married to Dr Martha Ajojo working at Mbale regional referral hospital in the eastern part of Uganda. They are gifted with one bouncing girl.
