NEWS- Top Leaders in the MK Movement have started pre-event preparations for the Katuna border reopening Thanksgiving slated for April this year, in Kabale District.

The MK Movement is a National Forum that brings together all groups of volunteers involved in popularizing the First son and Presidential Adviser on Special operations, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba who is also rumored to be nursing ambitions of contesting as Uganda’s President in the near future.

Recently, the General announced his plan to Visit Kigezi and officiate at the event prepared to celebrate the re-opening of the Uganda-Rwanda border at Katuna, by the Kigali Government for close to three years.

Kainerugaba’s announcement on twitter, followed a series of requests by his supporters in Kigezi to be the Chief Guest at the function that has been postponed several times due to adjustments in his program schedules.

However, in one of his recent tweets, Gen. Kainerugaba announced that President Yoweri Museveni and his Rwandan Counterpart Paul Kagame had given blessings to the Katuna Border reopening party, adding that the theme of the celebration would be “Rukundo Egumeho,” a Rukiga phrase translated as, “ Keep the Love”.
