NEWS- The Police in Rubanda district have arrested a man for allegedly stabbing her 23-year-old wife to death as a result of domestic violence.
ASP Elly Maate, the Kigezi region police spokesperson identified the suspect as Marvelous Turyasingura who stabbed to death his wife Witness Ainembabazi both residents of Ntaraga cell, Nyaruhanga parish, Ikumba sub county in Rubanda district.
According to Maate, its alleged that this morning at around 06:45Am, while Silver Tumukunde was passing by Turyasingura’s home (the suspect), heard an alarm in the house, rushed and informed the immediate neighbor Justine Twinobusingye who also went at the same home and found Ainembabazi witness in comma.
Maate told the press that the deceased was rushed to Kiizi health centre where she was later pronounced dead.
The Police PRO asserts that Police was informed by the area chairperson Naris Ahimbisibwe, they visited the scene, retrieved the body to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital Mortuary for postmortem examination and the suspect was accordingly arrested.
