KAMPALA- The traffic police in Entebbe on Saturday morning 25th March, 2023, registered a single fatal accident at around 8:20am at Mpala opposite Mpala Road Toll along Kampala-Entebbe express highway.
The accident involved a motor vehicle registration number UBG 323S (Passo) that was being driven by Muhumuza Edward 32 year old Journalist working with NTV Uganda.
According to ASP Faridah Nampiima the Traffic Police Spokesperson, it’s alleged Muhumuza lost control of his vehicle and went off the road, knocked sign post and overturned several times, killing him on spot.
The cause of the accident has been attributed to over speeding, however, more Inquiries are still at hand.
Muhumuza’s body has been conveyed to City Mortuary for postmortem examination.
“Our thoughts and prayers to his family, friends and colleagues in the media fraternity” Nampiima added.
