NEWS- Bishop Johnson Twinomujuni has expressed his gratitude to clergy in active service for the great ministry they are doing for the glory of God. The Bishop said this on Monday May 15th 2023 while meeting all clergy in active service at St Peter’s Cathedral Bweranyangi.

The seminar started with morning devotion led by the Diocesan Head of Clergy Ven. Rev Can Godfrey Bejuura, who shared on this year’s Provincial theme “United for service and growth’ derived from Ephesians 4:11.

Bishop Johnson challenged the clergy to always remember that they are serving Christ who called them on a mission to “fish men’ from sinfulness to eternal life.

The Bishop cautioned clergy to guard against sin and all evil and asked them to guard the dignity of the diocese by their behavior.

The Bishop further asked the clergy to take care of their health through routine body checks, publicize diocesan projects and church developments, have rest, have a home, go for further studies in relevant fields, introduce mid-week fellowships and conduct more than one church service where necessary.

Bishop Johnson also updated the clergy on the upcoming events within the Diocese that include; diocesan grand final Music competitions on 25th and 26th May, the Archbishop’s pastoral visit from the 15th to 19th June and Recognition of Diocesan Pillars of Development on the 30th July 2023 at the Diocesan Convention grounds.

In the same seminar, the Bishop announced some clergy transfers where Rev. Can. Robert Kankiriho of Kaburengye COU was sent to sick leave, Rev. Lovence Natamba from home to Nyaruzinga COU, Rev. Junior Turyatunga from Kiyuuya COU to Kashozi Primary School, Rev Elly Naamara from Nyaruzinga COU to Kiyuuya COU, Rev Fred Mwesigye from Cathedral to Greater Bushenyi as curate, Rev Amon Tumusiime from Greater Bushenyi to Butsibo Parish, and Rev Abel Murangira from Butsibo Parish to Kaburengye Parish.
