NEWS- The Police in Kabale have registered a fatal accident involving Motorcycle Registration Number UG 1719R being ridden by Aharimpisya Jassy who died on spot.
The deceased, Aharimpisya was an Agriculture Officer of Nyamweru Sub County in Rubanda District and collided head on with another Motorcycle ridden by Joram Nkwasibwe a resident of Rushaki in Southern division in Kabale Municipality.
Nkwasibwe sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital in critical condition where he is currently admitted.
Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman ASP Elly Maate told journalists today morning that the accident took place last night May 23rd 2023, at Mwanjari along Kabale – Katuna highway.
Maate said that the Police was alerted and a team from the Traffic Department visited the scene and the body was taken to Kabale Referral Hospital Mortuary for postmortem examination and Motorcycle is parked at the Kabale Central Police Station Yard pending Inspector of Vehicles inspection.
The case was registered under reference number TAR 62/2023 and inquiries are underway to establish the likely cause of the accident.
