Minister Byamukama pledges to work on impassable Rukungiri roads as Mugarura wedded Annabel

RUKUNGIRI- The Minister of State for Transport in the Ministry of Works and Transport in the eleventh Cabinet Hon. Fred Byamukama has revealed that the government is soon working on the road that connects Rukungiri district to Mitooma via Ruhinda sub county that is currently in a poor state.

Byamukama who is also the current Member of Parliament representing the people of Bugangaizi West constituency stressed that he has already ordered the Uganda National Roads Authority UNRA to move some equipment from the current works in Kisoro so that they can rescue the people of Rukungiri using this route.

The Minister made this revelation over the weekend at the wedding party of Alfred Mugarura and Annabel at Rukungiri Inn gardens in Eastern Division, Rukungiri Municipality.

Alfred is a son to Bernard and Consolat Mugarura Kaharata, the renowned business family from Ndere Ruhinda, dealing in hardware business in Rukungiri town and a sister to the Rukungiri District Woman Member of Parliament Hon. Natukunda Midius Kaharata. Ayebare Annabel is a daughter to Mr and Mrs Alysious Byabagambi of Rwabuteneka cell, Kagashe ward in Eastern Division Rukungiri Municipality.

Minister Byamukama praised Hon. Natukunda for the exemplary leadership especially in the 11th Parliament rallying the residents to allow her more time in Parliament so that they can realise her potential in serving them.

The Minister used the same platform to announce that the government has procured relief items for Rushaya river flood victims and that the President has condoled with each family that lost a member with Ugx 5M that will this week be delivered by the Minister of disaster and preparedness.

Agasha Juliet Bashiisha of Mitooma District, Hon. Patience Kinshaba Nkunda of Kanungu, Hon. Naboth Namanya of Rubabo County and Hon. Benjamin Katangura of Ruhaama East County attributed all that she has been able to fulfil to cooperation with fellow legislators.

The legislator praised her parents for the role done in upbringing her and the siblings into great men and women, welcomed and pledged to support her sister in law so that the new family with Alfred is a successful one.

Bernard and Consolat Mugarura Kaharata, Alfred’s parents hailed their son for being a humble listener and leading them to such an honour attributing all this to God who has always led them in grooming their children.

The Kaharata’s who were pleased with Alfred’s decision to take marriage vows prayed for them to bear children as God commands in the Bible and to shun from the ungodly acts of homosexuality and lesbianism that are eating up the universe.

The bride and groom pledged to maintain their relationship built on love, forgiveness, trustworthiness on top of fulfilling the vows they took.

The function was attended by numerous dignitaries in the Political arena including the district boss Geoffrey Kyomukama, Vice Chairperson Santrinah Nahwera, District Social services Minister Keredonia Musimenta Claire, Religious leaders, business community, Ruhinda sub county and Rukungiri Municipality residents as well as those from different walks of life.
