NEWS- The Basiigi Clan in Hamuhambo Town council, Rubanda District last week terminated the marriage of their fellow who is accused of marrying a Clan-mate.
The accused has been identified as Edson Turinawe a son to Aineya Kantakyi both from the Basiigi Banyonyera clan and residents of Nyamiyaga Cell, Bushuura ward, Hamuhambo Town council in Rubanda East Constituency who recently married a 14 year old Clan mate who has been schooling in one of the neighborhood school in the same area.
According to the locals, the 14 year old Girl, a maternal daughter to the suspect, is a daughter to the late Madvan and granddaughter of Mr. Nyamunoza Fred Jackson, residents of Rwakayundo Cell, Bushura Hamuhambo Town council.
The locals added that the accused is a known drug addict who once fought his father late Tinkamubwene Herbert Kachene trying to grab his motorcycle to bodaboda.
“He was released from prison after having misunderstandings with his mother before doing a shameful act,” said the residents.They further questioned the reasons her mother was quiet on the matter despite the newly married couples staying outside in boys’ quarters for four days and sharing the same kitchen.
Speaking to our reporter, the Bushuura ward Crime preventer Mr. Richard Turyatemba said that the suspect has been terrorizing the whole village with theft.

The area parish chairperson Peter Kasisiri condemned the shameful act before challenging the clan leaders and parents to have time for their children if they are to curtail similar future incest cases.
Kasisiri added that Edison has been Terrorising the whole village with theft and fights whenever he gets drunk.
