Save River Rwizi Marathon gains momentum amidst endorsement by local leaders

NEWS- The Save River Rwizi Marathon that is slated for 30^th July 2023 is gaining a lot of momentum after local leaders massively embraced the move, which they say is timely to save the human race.

According to the chairman organizing this marathon Mr. Seiz Murali, “before nature turns violent, creating unlike situations in our surrounding environment, let’s all care about our actions and perceptions towards those committing efforts to conserve the environment”.

River Rwizi has been one of the main source of water for the people of Ankole, so the campaign to save the River is very timely. 

Among the local leaders that have embraced the campaign is Mbarara City Lord Mayor Mugabe Robert Kakyebezi, Mbarara City Deputy Resident Commissioner among others.

As citizens, we have a duty to protect the source of our waters that enable us to live every day; River Rwizi is one of those that should be protected from the imminent danger.
