Kisoro leaders warned against transacting business with foreigners

NEWS- Kisoro municipality local council leaders have been warned against appending signatures, stamps on agreements and other documents in general belonging to foreigners. 

This was said at Mubano hotel in a meeting between Police and local leaders of Kisoro Municipality.

Kisoro district Police Commander SSP Mugerwa Bernard extended warnings to leaders to be careful in dealing with the people in the villages especially those who are from across the borders of this country. Mugerwa also called upon all residents to participate in enforcing community policing.

Richard Ndyana the Kisoro municipality mayor urged the Local leaders to sensitize the masses to avoid grazing their animals in towns as well as asking school going children to desist from disturbing security operatives.

The Mayor further urged the Chairpersons to cooperate with the Police so as to reduce the increasing criminality in their areas of jurisdiction.

Kisoro district boss Abel Bizimana urged local council leaders at the grassroot to be extra careful in dealing with all kinds of people despite their areas of origin.

Bizimana reminded them not to get into criminality by self-centered residents under brokering properties on behalf of foreigners for it can land them into serious problems.

Bizimana further called upon all residents to be vigilant in public places such as recreational centres, worshiping areas and business areas as the country is currently facing uncertainty in terms of security with the recently increasing bomb scares.
