Owoyesigire arrested in Rubirizi over his wife’s & 3 children murder

NEWS- The Police in Rubiriizi district are investigating circumstances under which a man stabbed his wife and three children to death.

SSP Martial Tumusiime, the greater Bushenyi Police spokesperson has identified the deceased as Musimenta Asanansi, 28 resident of Munyonyi II A Cell, Munyonyi Parish, Katanda sub county in Rubirizi District and her children Akandwanaho Andrew 4, Akanyijuka Javira 3 and Atwijukire Davis 2 months.

Tumusiime narrates that on the night of 9^th September 2023 at Munyonyi II A Cell, Munyonyi Parish, Katanda sub county in Rubirizi District, the suspect known as Owoyegyire Denis alias arrived at his home from his drinking spree, started quarreling with his wife and ended up stabbing her   and her three children.

Tumusiime adds that the three bodies were found with deep cut wounds, while the mother had a smashed head.

By press time, the suspect, a drug addict, is currently detained  at Rubirizi police   headquarters for further investigations while the four bodies were retrieved to Rugazi health centre IV for postmortem.
