NEWS- The Rukiga District Woman Member of Parliament Hon. Kamusiime Caroline Muhwezi has challenged couples to respect one another and solve their differences inside the wedlock rather than resorting to police.

Kamusiime who doubles as the chairperson NRM Rukiga district revealed this at the mass wedding of 5 couples at IBUGWE Church of Uganda Rukiga District where she had offered all the brides and grooms wedding gown at a free cost as one way of encouraging the public to legalise their marriages for better future.

Speaking to journalists after the wedding ceremony, Hon. Kamusiime challenged the women to lower themselves down before their husbands for the betterment of the families.

Kamusiime showed concern on how some couples have resorted to police even with small issues which could be sorted within their wedlock and warned men against beating their wives in front of their children.

The Kihanga archdeaconry archdeacon Ven. Joshua Owoyesiga who led the mass wedding service challenged the newlywed couples to have Jesus in their families so that he builds for them.

The Rukiga district boss Mbabazi Robert Kakwerere commended the woman MP for her initiative to have all the people wedded at a free cost while purchasing the bride, aide, groom, gowns and clothes.
