Sheema journalist given goat to boost their financial status

SHEEMA– Canon Col. Charles Aine, the undersecretary in the Ministry of Defence has donated 34 goats to Sheema journalists under their association, Sheema Journalists Association (SHEJA).

This was in fulfillment of his pledge to the journalists who visited him at his home in Rukondo parish, Kitagata town council, Sheema District last month.

While officiating at the handover of goats at Kyalimanya Gardens in Kabwohe town, Lukia Nakariisa the Sheema Municipality deputy mayor noted that journalists play a big role in developing societies hence need be examples to the society. Nakariisa cautioned them not to step back but instead move forward for development. 

Micheal Atwakiire, a journalist working with TV West who also doubles as chairperson Sheema Journalists Association (SHEJA) noted that as the executive, they have so far taken a big step and their target is to see members ( journalists) develop.

Atwakiire also hailed Canon Col. Charles Aine for thinking about journalists and donating to them something that will boost their financial positions.
